Last semester came to an end so quickly I barely had time to look back. Then, spending 10 days at Vipassana meditating I was able to come to some sort of peace about it all. Traveling immediately after to Nepal my mind was organized and at ease with everything. As I went back into the world I could not help but be consumed again with just how much I still don’t know, especially about India. Now I have to ask myself what is possible for me to do in this country in the time that I have left.

“One's only rival is one's own potentialities. One's only failure is failing to live up to one's own possibilities. In this sense, every man can be a king, and must therefore be treated like a king.”
~Abraham Maslow

My own personal goal for this semester is to work further on my poetry. I will compile a small book at the end of the semester, continuing the ritual I started last year. Poetry is the easiest and most satisfying way of expressing myself, often times this mixes into my academic life as well as my personal. In this way it is a very good representation of my experience at Global College. The title for this year’s book is tentatively, “Sometimes I say things I don’t mean and other contradictions”.
